Mealtime Care and Support

At mealtimes, our main focus is to make sure residents receive proper nutrition and enough fluids. Mealtimes are protected so residents can eat and drink in a calm and comfortable environment without unnecessary interruptions.

During this time, non-urgent activities are paused and staff are fully available to support residents who need help, encouragement, or supervision with their meals.

We kindly ask visitors not to visit during mealtimes unless it is urgent or they are visiting to assist or encourage a resident to eat or drink. This helps us give residents the care, dignity, and attention they deserve.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Afternoon Tea

It is said that Anna Russell, 7th Duchess of Bedford, invented Afternoon Tea in 1840. This was to satisfy her peckishness during the long wait between lunch and dinner. Today, we are proud to continue this English ritual.

Dishes become more robust during the autumn and winter months as the chefs cook with nostalgic and evolving techniques that focus on capturing the best flavours from the produce.
